Haagen Dazs Secret Sensations Chocolat Fondant

When it comes to ice-cream, Haagen Dazs Belgium Chocolate is always on the top of my list. Now, with a new member to the family - Secret Sensations Chocolat Fondant, we are really spoilt for choice. As a matter a fact, my husband and I had just finished a tub in less than 10 minutes.

Loreal Elseve Extraordinary Oil

This is my current favourite hair product that I use to tame my frizzy hair. It works and doesn't leave a greasy after feel, only a smooth touch. It can be used before shampoo as a mask or as a finishing touch. There are 2 versions - the gold cap for all hair types and the red one for coloured hair. I personally got the one for coloured hair as it has got UV filter.

It now comes in a smaller 30ml size, which is great for travelling. This limited edition is retailing at $9.90 but I got mine with a 20% discount during Watsons sale.

Books for Kids

My elder daughter started reading when she was 5, but I seldom buy books for her. It's a hassle when it comes to storage. Instead, I borrow books from the Singapore National Library Board.

I make it a habit to read to them before bedtime. As my girl will do her own reading, my bedtime book choices cater more for my younger boy.

My girl is 8 years old this year and here are some series from the library that she enjoys. I have included the library call number for your convenience.

For the Girls (under Junior Lending Simple Fiction)
- Rainbow Magic by Daisy Meadows (MEA)
- Thea Stilton (STI)
- Creepella Von Cacklefur by Geronimo Stilton (STI)
- Stargirl Academy by Vivian French (FRE)
- Faraway Fairies by Eleanor Coombe (COO)
- Secret Kingdom by Rosie Banks (BAN)
- Candy Fairies by Helen Perelman (PER)
- Rescue Princesses by Paula Harrison (HAR)
- Mermaid Tales by Debbie Dady (DAD)
- Mermaid S.O.S by Gillian Shields (SHI)
- The Secret Mermaid by Sue Mongredien (MON)
- Disney Fairies (various call number)
- Big Hero 6 (TRI)

As for my boy, he is 5. He has started reading some simple books by himself. Here are some for your reference.

For the Boys (under Junior Lending Picture Book)
- Star Wars Rebels (various call number)
- Big Hero 6 (various call number)
- Horrid Henry by Francesca Simon (SIM)

For those series with various call number, you may search from Library Catalogue.

Stewed Chicken Wings

This is my husband's favourite dish. He likes spicy food so I'm using spicy sauces. You may use other milder choices.

Ingredients :
- Chicken Wings
- Light Soya Sauce
- Spicy Sesame Oil
- Black Pepper Sauce
- Broccoli
- Water

Instructions :
1) Wash and drain the chicken wings.
2) Marinate the chicken wings with light soya sauce, spicy sesame oil and black pepper sauce.
3) Refrigerate it for at least 30 mins.
4) Soak and wash the broccoli with vegetable cleanser and leave it aside for later use.
5) Pour the chicken wings with the marination in a pot.
6) Add water to the pot.
7) Stew the chicken wings for 30 - 45 mins.
8) Add in the broccoli and stew for another 10 mins.

Enjoy!
