Books for Kids

My elder daughter started reading when she was 5, but I seldom buy books for her. It's a hassle when it comes to storage. Instead, I borrow books from the Singapore National Library Board.

I make it a habit to read to them before bedtime. As my girl will do her own reading, my bedtime book choices cater more for my younger boy.

My girl is 8 years old this year and here are some series from the library that she enjoys. I have included the library call number for your convenience.

For the Girls (under Junior Lending Simple Fiction)
Rainbow Magic by Daisy Meadows (MEA)
Thea Stilton (STI)
- Creepella Von Cacklefur by Geronimo Stilton (STI)
- Stargirl Academy by Vivian French (FRE)
- Faraway Fairies by Eleanor Coombe (COO)
- Secret Kingdom by Rosie Banks (BAN)
- Candy Fairies by Helen Perelman (PER)
- Rescue Princesses by Paula Harrison (HAR)
- Mermaid Tales by Debbie Dady (DAD)
- Mermaid S.O.S by Gillian Shields (SHI)

As for my boy, he is 5. He has started reading some simple books by himself. Here are some for your reference.
